وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى   

53.1 . By the Star when it setteth ,

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى   

53.2 . Your comrade erreth not , nor is deceived ;

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى   

53.3 . Nor doth he speak of ( his own ) desire .

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى   

53.4 . It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired ,

عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَى   

53.5 . Which one of mighty powers hath taught him ,

ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَى   

53.6 . One vigorous ; and he grew clear to view

وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَى   

53.7 . When he was on the uppermost boon .

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى   

53.8 . Then be drew nigh and came down

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى   

53.9 . Till he was ( distant ) two bows length or even nearer ,

فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى   

53.10 . And He revealed unto His slave that which He revealed .
