The Pious Man Calls
by
Nabz27
My Lord! Thou strong and Almighty
Thou all powerful and bright
Do not take away my life
For I have sins that unfortunately betide.
I need to plot more seeds of good in the field
To have the harvest ready at thy court
I have to fill the goodies' moat
And spread sins afar!
I have yet to blind and
help Thy creatures and kinds
For I did not get the time
To realise the crime.
Thy grip I fear of and flee
I try to run away
But the worldly things call and sway
And a night of ignorance falls before day.
I realise my duties
I signify my faith
I recognise my religion
I blindly accept thou'st say'th
